Meryem Apak Connection and Community Panel Member

Our Principal Solicitor Meryem Apak was invited to be panel speaker at for Peer Support, Connection & Community panel hosted by the Culturally Diverse Staff Network (CDSN) at Victoria Legal Aid on 30 Jul 2025 along with Molina Asthana and Sonia Sawant.  It was a pleasure for our Principal to attend to speak at Victoria Legal Aid, her first employer where she commenced her legal career as a duty lawyer.

The panel discussion explored key themes around workplace connection, inclusivity, and equity. Meryem shared the impact of mentorship and allyship in her career and strategies for maintaining confidence and resilience in systems that may not fully understand diverse lived experiences. Together, the panel provided valuable insights into creating a more inclusive and supportive professional environment.
