Our client, the Wife was in a toxic and abusive marriage for the duration of 20 years with 3 teenage children. The Husband had an addiction to gambling and drugs. The Wife exhausted all her financial means to support the family and pay the Husbands debts. The matter proceeded to Court litigation and the Husband failed to comply with Court Orders.
We were able to turn the case around for our client, the Wife and proceed to obtain orders without the Husband (on an undefended basis). We obtained a judgement in our client’s favor with Orders, giving her sole and exclusive authority to sell the home. Orders were made for a partial payment from proceeds of sale to her giving her significant financial relief and cost orders were made against the Husband on the high end of the scale.
This is a brilliant outcome for our client enabling her to make decisions without the abuse of the Husband and move forward with her life and children regaining the confidence and stability.
